Authentic Seamanship Experience

Ship: Sark cutter from 1932. This wooden ship is 14,9 meters (49 feet) long, weights 47 tons, and made from oak, Oregon pine and teak woods. Actually this ship was originally made for fishing in Denmark and it wasn't really a sailing vessel. Originally the ship was equipped with 2 short masts, but those were replaced and the ship got only one longer mast during renovation in mid-ninteens. The full story would require a book, so once you step on board our crew will tell you all the insights of the history of the ship. 

Helsinki is called the pearl of the Baltic sea, as it is surrounded by one of the world's largest archipelagos. Helsinki alone has 98 kilometers of coastline and 315 islands. One of the most known islands is the famous sea fortress of Suomenlinna. It is also a Unesco World Heritage Site and the biggest sea fortress in Europe.

Seamanship experience in Helsinki:

Enjoy a unique sail in the beautiful coastline of Helsinki and its magnificent archipelago. You can participate to the sailing manoeuvres or just chill and enjoy of the panoramic views. Our crew will be happy to guide you through the sailing tricks and help you hoist and trim the sails. It is also possible to steer the ship under captain’s supervision.

Choose the duration of your journey and we will show you the pristine archipelago of Helsinki in a unique way. Your captain will welcome you onboard with a glass of champagne served with traditionally made salmon bread and tell you insights of the places along the cruise.

On a shorter trip, we can sail around Suomenlinna. On longer trips, you can go on land on Suomenlinna or one of the other islands in the pristine Helsinki archipelago.

Our professional crew will always take care of your safety. We do everything safely and professionally, and make sure that everyone is having fun. If needed for the weather, there are waterproof and wind-enduring suits available on board.
