RIB Safari in Helsinki:
RIB boats (rigid-hulled inflatable boat) are very fast but safe and steady. The RIB boat takes even the most extreme thrill seekers to the sea, so they can feel the surges and the excitement of the speed! Surely the captain will slow down a bit if it starts to feel too wild.
Departing at Kanavaranta 7. Once you leave the harbor you will see massive icebreakers on your right and you may also see old and beautifully built sailing ships. When the harbour is left behind, the skipper will increase the speed and the course is taken towards Suomenlinna. It is the largest sea fortress in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After Suomenlinna, you will feel the true speed of the boat as the boat heads to more open waters. The maximum boat speed is gonna be somewhere around 40 knots. At the end of the trip, you will tour the south harbour of Helsinki, which has a world-famous market square and a parade view of Helsinki's Great Church.
